why is there so much smoke? does that damage the hair? i want to get a blowout but kind of skeptical now because for 1… i am very tender headed and 2… i feel like all that heat is damaging. i have been natural for 1 yr and looking to do something different and figured this was an option.

@nequa28 It burns especially on your roots, your hair gets really smooth and straight but its harsh on your hair after a while.

after watching several round brush tutorials, I rushed right out to sally’s and bought me a $12 round brush. Got home excited at the thought of having beautiful bouncy salon-like round brushed hair. washed/condition- added heat protector, sectioned, got my new round brush and blow dryer with the concentration nozzle in perfect position-starting from underneath and at the roots, then tried that fancy move she did at 4:10, the brush was stuck in my hair for 20 minutes- needless say never again :(

@nequa28 the smoke is only from the product put in the hair!! its not ur hair burning…its a natural reaction to oil and heat! They actually teach this in cosmetology school and its better for ur hair than a flat iron, curler, hot comb, etc. im not saying just run out an get 1!!! but ur hair should be ok…especially with it being virgin hair (i mean free of any chemical processing!) which is the strongest and healthiest!
